James Aston is the Managing Partner for Archer Mathieson's Human Resources practice. With a recruitment career of more than 10 years across a variety of sectors, his experience spans retained senior level marketing, sales, finance and HR assignments. Having previously worked in South Africa, James returned to the UK in 1998.
Rob Walker
Rob has an excellent track record in the recruitment sector and a strong reputation within the City. He co-founded Walker-Hamill in London in 1989 and built it into an international recruitment business with an exceptional reputation for delivery amongst blue-chip clients. Rob was specifically responsible for opening offices in Sydney and Melbourne. The business was sold to Marlborough International in 1998. Subsequently Rob co-led the float of Imprint plc in 2001 – the first start-up recruitment company to float on AIM, debuting in May 2001.
Rob joined the Hexagon Human Capital Plc board as Non-Executive Chairman in September 2006 and following a management restructure in September 2009 became Executive Chairman. In March 2010 the Group de-listed from AIM and was taken private through an MBO in partnership with Barclays Ventures; Rob was appointed Chief Executive of the new entity, The Cornhill Partnership Limited.
