Focusing on senior management and board assignments, predominantly within Archer Mathieson Finance, John Archer has a wealth of experience and understanding of the recruitment industry.
He established Archer Mathieson in 1998, having gained over 15 years' recruitment experience in Continental Europe, Canada and the UK. Since then, his hands-on style has guided the business from strength to strength and a decade later, he now heads a 25-strong team.
Today, John works hard to ensure the continued development and success of Archer Mathieson and, when he is away from the office, he enjoys family holidays, skiing and golf. He is a familiar figure at his local gym, a necessary evil he says, to help compensate for his love of fine wine and food.
Ashton Ward

Interim Management is one of the fastest growing and most exciting sectors of the recruitment industry and Ashton Ward heads up the Archer Mathieson's Interim Management team.
Having worked in the UK and Asia Pacific regions, Ashton's international experience spans all aspects of financial recruitment, and he has personally provided over 200 Interim Managers to his clients.
He believes it is the firm's collaborative and inclusive approach which makes it such a great place to work and says people really like to feel they belong.
Outside office hours, Ashton enjoys spending time with his young family and supporting the England rugby team.
Rod Hutchings

Working alongside Ashton on the Interim Management team is Rod Hutchings. With more than 25 years' experience in the recruitment industry, Rod has developed an extensive network over the years and believes his success has come from dealing with people as individuals rather than as 'clients' or 'candidates'. For the last decade, Rod has specialised in interim management.
A family man and keen sportsman, Rod plays golf and tennis regularly and enjoys watching football and rugby.
James Aston

Taking responsibility for Archer Mathieson's Human Resources practice is James Aston. With a recruitment career of more than 10 years across a variety of sectors, his experience spans retained senior level marketing, sales, finance and HR assignments. Having previously worked in South Africa, James returned to the UK in 1998.
A keen sportsman, James has rowed at Henley Royal Regatta and attained a silver medal at the World Lifeboat Rowing Championships. Spending time with his young family has more recently seen him swap the water for dry land and he regularly takes part in cycling events to raise money for charity.
